
The Eisenhower Center Philosophy
We believe that every adult is entitled to make a contribution to society through work. Eisenhower Center is committed to serve adults with cerebral palsy, neurological disorders or other developmental disabilities by providing job training and therapy services as well as the opportunity for paid employment. Services offered are based on the needs of each individual and are designed to help them live as fully and independently as possible.
Organizational Information
Eisenhower Center, Inc. is a non-profit, innovative work-training program that provides a comprehensive array of rehabilitation services for people with developmental disabilities. We have eighty participants that attend our program daily to work on sub-contract jobs including assembly and packaging jobs. Most of our participants are severely disabled and need assistance with personal cares and feeding. Adaptive equipment is fabricated to assist our people with their production jobs. Our clients come from southeastern Wisconsin and mostly live either at home with their parents or in group homes or in an apartment with an aide. The age of our participants is from 21 until they wish to retire. We have several clients over the age of sixty. Our clients’ ethnicity includes Caucasian, Asian, African American, Hispanic and American Indian
We have a staff of twenty full time staff and six part-time. We have six Production Leaders who work directly with the clients to assist them with their sub-contract jobs. They are responsible for setting up the adaptive equipment, training the clients on the jobs and quality control. We have a full time Vocational Instructor who creates classes for the clients and takes small groups on community outings. Four personal care workers assist the clients with feeding and using the restroom. Other staff is responsible for support for the clients including case management, our financial offices and other ancillary services.
