The Eisenhower Center Philosophy

We believe that every adult is entitled to make a contribution to society through work.

Eisenhower Center is committed to serve adults with cerebral palsy, General Info neurological disorders or other developmental disabilities by providing job training and therapy services as well as the opportunity for paid employment. Services offered are based on the needs of each individual and are designed to help them live as fully and independently as possible.

Work Services

The primary goal of our program is to teach appropriate work behaviors, increase skills and create a sense of worth and dignity for adults with disabilities.

Area companies such as School Specialty, Sax Arts & Crafts, American Millwork & Hardware, storeWall Heavy Duty, Tailored Label Products, DLS Lawn & Garden/Venture Products, xPedx and Cornell Communications provide work for our clients. These assembly, packaging, collating and mailing jobs enable these individuals to learn valuable work skills and earn an income.

Our adaptive equipment specialist and other staff members design and build special pieces of equipment called adaptive devices, or jigs. These jigs help people perform jobs more efficiently and help increase productivity and wages.

Eisenhower Center works in cooperation with other community agencies to place individuals with severe disabilities in work sites throughout the metropolitan area, resulting in two to twenty hours per week of community employment.
